Want to Consolidate Credit Card Debt?

So, you made the decision that you want to consolidate your credit card debt, or you’re doing some research on it. That’s okay, because you’re taking the stepping stone in learning how to get rid of your debt. Many people just dream about getting out of debt, and don’t even do anything about it! That person shouldn’t be you.
When you’re ready to consolidate, I find that it’s perfect for those that are looking to get better credit in the future. Some consolidation firms have advantages, as others will have disadvantages. It’s all about who you find, and what you do with them. Like any business in America, you’re going to find that some are shaddy, while others are completely legit.
So, why should I consolidate?
Consolidating can help you in so many ways. The first reason that you should consolidate is because of your rates. Instead of paying those outrageous 25% APRs, cram all of your credit cards into one low payment, and rate as well. These rates can be as low as 0%. If you do this yourself, you can always find those great introductory rate credit cards, but beware that they usually look for those with great credit.
The second reason I like this option is because it makes everything so simple. Instead of getting ten bills in the mail, you can get one, and you know what you’re going to expect. This is one of the main reason people tend to choose this route. You know what your bill is going to be, and you’ll be prepared for it. Plus, it gives you a light at the end of the tunnel showing you how much you’re going to owe to get out of debt.
Before picking out a consolidation firm, make sure you meet with at least three to five people. Interview them, check with the Better Business Bureau, and check the Internet for reviews. This will give you a great idea if they are going to be legit or not.
