Whether you’re in debt and you’re looking for ways to save on money or you’re just simply curious on how to save some money, did you know that you can save a lot of money at resale shops? When I say saving money, I’m not talking 10% or even 20%, sometimes you can save almost up to 90% on the full price of shirts.
Depending on where you live and what kind of stores are nearby, you can save a lot of money on designer clothing like Tommy Hilfiger and Polo. I know the stores around me, I can walk in and find shirts that cost about $5 that are usually close to $70 new. Most of the times, you can throw them in the wash and no one will ever know that you got them at the resale shop!
Saving with babies- There are many resale shops out there that help you save with anything baby. From used baby toys to baby clothes, try out resale shops in your area that specialize in baby products. If you do buy anything from a shop like this for your child, make sure that you sterilize the toys and wash the clothes before allowing your baby to wear them.
Save on sporting equipment- Retailers like Play it Again sports specialize in used sporting equipment. Whether you want golf clubs or a used set of Rollerblades, check out stores like these before you go out and buy new equipment. You’ll be amazed at what you can save with used sporting equipment.
Book shops – Instead of heading out to the main retailers that have all the new books, try your luck with online websites like Amazon. You’ll be shocked at what you can get when you’re looking to buy a used book. Most of the used books on a website like Amazon allow you to purchase a book for next to nothing. If you’re not comfortable with buying something online, try your luck with book exchange shops or your local library. Look out for the fire sales.
Clothing- Places like the Salvation Army are great place to find everything from little knick knacks to electronic equipment but they mainly specialize in clothing. If you have one in your area, stop by and see what they have to offer. They will have everything from dress clothes to casual clothes from brands you’ve heard about to brand you haven’t heard about.
Saving money is at a resale shop is a great way to save money if you’re facing financial troubles right now. There are probably a lot of resale shops in your area that you don’t even know about. Check out your local yellow pages online to see if there are places like these nearby. When you get a chance, stop by and see how much you can save.
