1133585_christmas_baubleIt seems like every year the holidays seem to sneak up on us.  Then, before we know it, it is 2 weeks from Christmas, and the shopping still isn’t done.  When we have a list of people to buy for, it is hard to save up enough money by Christmas.  A majority of us tend to procrastinate when it comes to saving money.  So, I’m going to tell you how you can start saving money for your holiday shopping right now!

How to Start Saving for the Holidays:

  • If you really want to start saving money, start saving money today by not spending a penny.
  • Try taking about $20 from each weeks paycheck and set it aside for holiday shopping.
  • Some companies that people work for will automatically withdrawal money from your paycheck weekly, and put it in a holiday fund.  If you have this opportunity, consider it!
  • Start shopping today so that you don’t have a huge load to shop for a few days before the holidays.
  • If you start shopping today, you will notice that you can get some really good deals!
  • Only buy things that are on sale.  If there is something you know someone will like, only buy it if it’s on sale.
  • A great way to save money and to shop is by doing it online.  If you check out Amazon, you will be surprised at what you can get for the money.  Online shopping is usually a cheaper way to go!
  • If you are tempted to buy something, think will I have enough money for holiday shopping if I keep buying for myself?

Saving money for the holidays is a tough thing to do.  We have bills to pay, a ton of people to buy for, and little money to shop with.  So, to make this year’s shopping easier, start buying today, and start saving today!  For additional help, consider some of the tips above.
