Every dollar counts when it comes to saving each and every month. If you feel like you can’t save anymore money each month, you may have to think again. There are probably corners that you haven’t even looked at before analyzing your budget. I want to show you some simple ways on how you can save $50 a month easily, starting today.
Sure, $50 doesn’t sound like a lot, but this easily 1/2 your groceries for one week if you have a family of 3 or 4. If you’re frugal like myself, you’ll be able to stretch your dollar pretty far, no matter where or what you buy.
Start using coupons: Coupons are your best friend, and no matter what you buy in life, start using them. No matter where you live, you probably get a coupon book. These books are filled with coupons ranging from restaurants, to cleaning services. This is where you take advantage. Don’t forget to use coupons for your grocery shopping as well.
Always buy on sale: Try, and get into the habit of buying everything on sale. This ranges from your clothing, to big ticket items like a washer and dryer. If you start buying items at full price, you’re not trying hard enough, because everything goes on sale sooner or later.
Analyze your services: I want you to pull out each bill for every service that you use. This will range from your phone to your electric bill. Look at each bill, and see how you can cut back. With cable, can you get rid of the premium channels? With your electric bill, can you switch over to energy efficient light bulbs? These are all things that you should look into.
No name is better: Just because an item is a no name brand, it doesn’t mean it isn’t any good. It just means that the other products are doing a better job at marketing. In fact, sometimes you’re going to find that the no name stuff is indeed better than the name brand stuff, and it’s cheaper!
Carpool to work: If you know of anyone that you work with that lives nearby, try and set up a carpool, where you can each drive every other week. This alone is going to cut your gas by 50%. If gas is at $3/gallon, and you’re filling up at $50 a week, this can save $100 right there.
Saving small amounts of money such as $50 isn’t hard at all. It just takes a little effort, and time. Do your homework, and find out what is best for you. Again, $50 may not sound like a lot, but in reality, it all adds up over time.
