How to Keep Your Monthly Bills Organized
posted by FindSecuredCards.comWhen we work a lot of hours, run our errands, take care of our children, and make time for our family and friends, our schedule is pretty much packed to the max. When we have a busy schedule it is easy to forget about the things that matter most, like bills. Keeping your monthly bills is something that needs to stay organized, and in order so that you don’t misplace or forget about them.
All it takes is one time, and we receive a late fee for our little accident. To make sure that doesn’t happen again, consider a few of these tips.
Lay them out – First, you want to lay out all your bills on the table. Now, separate all the statements, and if you have a couple that are paperless statements, get a piece of paper and write how much you owe on it. Now count how many bills you have. You should send out just as many bills to pay as you just counted.
Calender – Write down the dates of when all of your bills are due. Write these on the calender so that you see these on a daily basis and are constantly reminded.
Reminder – If the calender isn’t enough, try the thing that is attached to everyone’s hip – cell phone. Put reminders in your phone so that it alerts you when you need to pay your bills.
Figure out numbers – Figure out the numbers for each month. Estimate how much you’re going to take home this month, and figure how much is going to bills. Then subtract the number. This should be how much you have at the end of the month. If you have more than this, you may have forgotten about a certain bill.
Keeping track of your monthly bills is something that needs to be done on a regular basis. Consider a few of these tips above to make sure you’re aware of all your bills, that they get paid on time, and so that you can avoid getting late fees.
