We all dream of being financially free when we are in debt.  Even when we are making money, we want to make more but when we find ourselves in debt, it obviously takes money to get out of that hole.  Most people completely forget about this concept so instead of working harder to make more money, they simply sit back and “dream”.  People, you’re not going to make more money by sitting there!!  Let’s get off your butt and make more money.  I’ll even give you the ideas on how you can start…

Get some skills

If you want to make more money in this world, you’re going to have some sort of skill.  Obviously, anyone can bag a thing of groceries, this is why the job pays $8 a hour.  Instead, think outside the box and think of something you have a talent in.  Everyone on this earth has some talent.  Whether it’s playing guitar or painting pictures, take that talent and turn it into a money making venture.  You can turn any hobby into cash!

Cut your stupid spending

This isn’t going to be a side job but this can bring in more money if you budget and watch your money.  Instead of paying for 1,000 cable channels that you don’t watch, cut back on them.  Don’t get a coffee every day at $3.  I think you get the clue.  Just by cutting back on these stupid habits, it’ll feel like a part time job with all the savings you see.

Look for promotions

Are you working a dead end job where you don’t see any promotions in sight?  If so, you may want to think of moving on.  Even though it’s a down economy, there’s always jobs out there.  Do your research on other companies while you still have the job you have today.  Who knows?  You may find a job that pays you a lot more and you may even like it better.  Change isn’t bad all the time.

Make money on your money

If you just have your money sitting around in a lousy bank account, why not start investing or at least get a CD or money market account.  Start looking into savings accounts like this that can earn you a higher interest rate than your normal banks.  If you start to research how you can make money on your money, you’ll be living a very healthy financial life.

Grab an odd job

Depending on how quick you want that income increase, you can always look for that part time job at the retail shops during the holidays or you can simply perform tasks such as dog walking, babysitting, and the list goes on.  If you’re looking for an increase in income over the next few years, you may want to look for something more permanent as I mentioned above.
