We all love to go on vacations.  It is something about traveling to different places we’ve never been before, getting away to relax for a little bit, and getting away from our home town.  Although, one reason people cut back on vacations is simply because they’re too expensive.  Well, that’s what people thing.  You can get a fun filled vacation for a very cheap price, if you follow a couple of these tips!

Eating – When it comes to eating out, it doesn’t have to be expensive.  Instead, find a hotel that serves you a complimentary breakfast, and go out to lunch at your favorite restaurants instead of dinner.  Usually lunch specials are much cheaper than dinner.  Then, head back to the hotel for a light bite to eat for dinner.

Hotels – When searching for a hotel, you will see that some hotels are more than others.  This is usually because of the location.  A huge city is going to be more expensive then a small town outside of the city.  Instead of paying the large amount for the city hotel, consider the same hotel just a few miles away.  Also, find one with a free breakfast!

Renting a car – Rent a car online.  You will usually find pretty good deals, so do your research.  Don’t go up to a rental place they will charge you much more usually, so do it before your trip online.  Although, if you are visiting a big city like Chicago, don’t bother getting a car.  Instead, use the subway and walk like the majority of people do.

Avoid credit cards – It’s a good idea to no even bring your credit card.  Instead, bring only cash with you.  This will force you only to spend how much you want to. 

Budget – Find a good amount of money you’re willing to spend for the trip while you’re there.  Although, don’t choose a number until you budget how much it’s going to cost each day you’re there.  Then When you find a good amount, only carry this much cash with you.
