Why not get big savings every time you shop? A question posed by many shoppers and merchants finally answered by a few select individuals.  There are not as many shopping clubs available for the consumer but the ones that are available are located all over the United States, Canada, Mexico and other parts of the European countries. One of the most famous is Sam’s Club started by Mr. Sam Walton.  Mr. Sam Walton was presented the “Gold Medal of Honor” by President George Bush, Senior because of his dedication to helping others and the opportunities that he gave people with disabilities to be employed. Many times you hear about the bad things that happen in the Wal-Mart business but there are many good features offered by the corporation.

Wal-Mart opened up what is now called Sam’s Club to help the small business owner buy products at a smaller rate and a smaller cost. Many small business owners were not able to buy huge amount of product and keep it setting on the shelf. Many times the small business owner did not have the space to keep say 1,000 rolls of toilet paper on the shelf. Instead this merchant wanted to buy fifty rolls of toilet paper and fifty rolls of paper towels in his business. The “Club” helped many small business owners stay in business.

The family often needed to save on their food, clothes, and other staples but a quarter or a dime at the time really did not put a dent in saving on the budget. The Sam’s Club also realized this factor and started letting consumers buy in bulk in order to save on the things that they needed.  This was a very good way for the consumer to put money back in his own pocket. Instead of paying for example $1 for a four pack of toilet paper he could buy it in bulk and pay only $.50 per four packs but the consumer would be getting about 8 four packs savings of $4.00. When you add up all the savings from bulk purchases then the average consumer finds that he has a lot of cash back in his pocket.

The idea of putting cash back in the consumers pocket swiftly took off and many wholesale clubs started over the nation today. The variety of these clubs is from those that are for business only to business and consumers but in either case there is a great savings that puts a lot of cash in the consumers pocket for other expenditures.
