The summer is upon us, and everywhere around the United States, it’s nice weather. Instead of shoveling that awful snow, you can step outside finally, and not have to worry about bundling up just to get somewhere. Now that the summer is here, you may want to consider finding some activities, no matter how tight your budget is. If you live in the right town, or state, you can find lots to do.

Look for free activities in the area: Every city, no matter where you live is going to have some free things to do. Whether it’s a concert in the park, or a festival filled with attractions, this is a great way to get out of the house, and explore the area that you live in. Check online for events, or even your local newspaper.

Have a picnic in the park: The park is a great way to get away, and have fun. Since most parks are usually free, this is a great time to visit with friends, and family. You can eat, play volleyball, and so much more to enjoy your time.

Have a BBQ: If you’re living in a house, or you know of someone with a decent sized backyard, invite a few people out for some food in the backyard. If you have a pool, it’s going to be even better. Have people pitch in for food, and enjoy a nice summer night.

Go to a baseball game: If your city has a major league baseball team, you can find that when you use sites like Ebay, you can get tickets for up to 95% off their face value.  Most families think of a game as being expensive, but if you follow the tricks above, you won’t have a problem finding a great deal.

The community pool: Depending on the city you live in, you may find that they have local places like the community pool.  Here, you can take a dip most of the time for either free, or a cheaper price.  No matter where you live in the summer months, it’s great to take a dip to cool off!

Head to the beach: Do you have a beach in your area?  If so, this is a great time to head on down to the water, and either read a book or enjoy the water views.

Go camping: Camping can be fun if you’re the right person, and it’s not for everyone.  If it’s for you, you’ll find that it’s great to go camping, and enjoy the cheap entertainment.  Camping can be as cheap a few dollars, compared to a hotel that’s going to cost you anywhere from $50-$150/night.

The summers were always my favorite season, and there are so many things to do.  If you’re a summer fan, and you have a tight budget, you’ll want to try out some of the tips above to see what you can do in order to save on money.
