Everyone of us has some sort of cheap gene in our bodies when it comes to getting things for free.  I don’t care how much you make because when I say the word “free”, anyone is going to perk up.  Did you know that there are many ways to get things for free online when either shopping at the store or eating out?

Begin by checking forums

Instead of doing the dirty work yourself, why not resort to a forum.  With so many message boards online, there are a few that I really enjoy when it comes to samples.  Try FatWallet.com and SlickDeals.net when it comes to forums and learning about who’s offering what for free.  You can get everything from free garbage bags to calendars.  Check the forums daily because each day, a lot of things hit the boards that you can get at no cost.

Always sign up for e-mail alerts

Whether you sign up for a grocery store, restaurant or whatever it may be, always sign up for their e-mail newsletters.  I sign up for restaurant newsletters and I constantly get coupons via my e-mail.  I’d say about 75% of the restaurants online will give you a free appetizer, meal voucher just for signing up!  It’s a win-win for everyone.

Go to the manufacture directly

Let’s say that you want some garbage bags, think of some companies that offer them at your local grocery store.  For example, I think of Glad.  Go to their website and see if they have some sort of coupon or sign up form for free samples.  Many companies are more than willing to give you free samples when it comes to their line of product.
