Unfair bank feesBank charges are rampant nowadays, and everywhere you turn, or those that you talk to, you’ll realize that many are paying overdraft charges, and many others that are related.  Now, this is how the banks make their money, but did you know that you can do a few things to get a  refund on your bank charges?

Call up the bank and ask - The first thing that you want to do is simply call up the bank, and explain your situation.  If you haven’t done this before, you’ll find that you won’t have that many troubles getting your money back.  If you make it a habit, you may find that you’re going to run into more troubles not getting a refund.

File a claim - If you think that the fee is unfair, you may want to file a claim with the bank.  If you work with a bigger bank, this process may take a little long.  Instead, reach out to local government officials, and make your voice be heard, because there are people out there that are paying fees that they shouldn’t.

Talk it over - If you’re unsure of why you’re getting charged these fees, you should really head down to your bank, and meet with a manager face to face.  While talking on the phone can be great, you really want to get a feel for the fee, and when you’re dealing with someone in person, you have a better chance at getting your fees reimbursed to your account.

Try these tips, and more to see if you can get a refund on your bank charges.  Bank charges are what make a bank run, and if you’re getting unfair fees, it’s time to move on, and get it settled!
