Use your credit card wisely and budget your money. You can do both and find that your income goes much farther than you thought that it would. There is no need to have an excessive amount of credit cards in order to buy everything you feel that you need. You should only have one card two at the most. Use your credit card wisely by not over spending. When you do make a purchase try not to spend more than you can pay back in the same month. Sometimes you need to say “NO”! If you find that you cannot pay for it do not buy it. In most cases you should only charge things that you absolutely need. You might need to get your car fixed and it is before payday. You need it repaired in order to get to work and do other errands. This is a very necessary expenditure indeed but you do not have enough ready cash. Then it is perfectly acceptable to use your charge card. You can pay the bill when you get your paycheck. You see a pair of adorable shoes that are marked 10% off and you will just die if you do not get them. Then as they say, “die” it is better than “debt.”
Make a budget that you can live by and write down everything that you have spent. You should write down everything that you pay cash and everything that you charge. When you look at your budget and compare it to what you have spent see if your expenditures are out of line according to your budget. You should make a new budget after you compared your spending to make it compatible to your needs not your wants. You should stick to the budget in order to start a savings plan. When you have successfully made a budget that you can stick too then work on putting a savings in that budget. You should try to save a portion of your paycheck every payday. You should also start making investments with your savings in order to make that savings account grow. When you find that you are charging less and saving more then you can feel very confident that you have your life in control. You will be able to have money for emergencies and no need to depend on that charge card. You can use credit to your advantage when you make a budget to save.
