You have now gone where no person ever wants to go and pray that you will be able to return. Your luck has run out and you are on a downhill slide to nowhere. You look at the homeless on the street and wonder if there will be space left for you. That is the way some people feel when they are no longer able to pay their creditors.  This happens a lot when people lose their jobs and are not sure that they will be able to find employment.

Bad credit is no place to be but there is hope afterwards. You need not worry and make yourself sick because of your credit problems. You can find that having bad credit is not the final frontier. All you need to do is take charge of your life and do the best that you can. You are not required to take harassing phone calls during weekends, after hours, and during holidays. You have a right to tell your debt collectors not to call you that they are harassing you.  You can also ask for help from credit counselors who will assist you in contacting your debtors to make arrangements for you to make them smaller payments. In some cases debtors are willing to let you pay off your bill at a much smaller amount taking away all the extra charges and leaving the account at the initial amount that you borrowed.

Since you are unemployed it might become necessary for you to ask your creditor if you can have a waiting period on the debt before you start making payments. Granted some of these things get put on your credit report causing you to have a low credit score but when things are better then you can work on repairing your credit. Many creditors realize that people without jobs have no means to make them a payment and most of them are willing to bargain with you making pay arrangements. Since you were a good client in the past it does not benefit any of your creditors to make enemies of you. Most creditors want your business in the future when things are better. You need to understand that even though you are in debt with no means of repayment things will get better as time passes. Bad credit is really not the final frontier!
