4 Ways to Clear Credit Card Debt
posted by FindSecuredCards.com
Credit card debt isn’t really a hard egg to crack. It’s only going to be a hard one to crack if you’re going to make it that way. If you start to sit back, take action, and have discipline, you can soon find out that you can clear credit card debt in no time.
These are 5 tips that I would recommend when you’re looking to clear your credit card debt for good.
Work out a budget: The first thing that you have to do is work out a budget. Where is your money going each month? Do you have enough left over to pay off your bills? If you’re only paying the minimum, you’re soon going to find out that it’s going to take you years to pay off that bill, because a majority of the money is going to go toward interest.
Line up your credit cards: What I want you to do right now that works like a charm is lay out your credit card statements one, by one. From there, you will want to put your highest interest rate card at the top, and put the lowest at the bottom. On this sheet, you will want to put the total balance, the interest rate, and the minimum payment required. The goal here is to make sure that you pay the minimums on all the cards, while throwing as much as you can to the top bill.
Haggle with the credit card companies: A lot of people don’t know this, but you can negotiate with the credit card companies. You’re going to need a lump sum of money, but it can save you thousands. For example, lets say that your total statement bill is $5,500. You may be able to wiggle that down to $2,500, or $3,000 by offering it all in cash.
Get a side job: This is by far one of the best pieces of advice that I can give you. Since there is no magic button out there, you’re going to find that money is going to kill debt. If you’re not making enough money today, I would recommend that you find a new side job. Even if it’s a 20 hour a week job that pays $250. You can take all of that money and throw it toward your credit card bills. $250 x 4 weeks x 12 months can pay off $12,000 in debt! It really adds up.
Money, motivation, and discipline can take you far. Yes, these tips are self explanatory, but you shouldn’t be looking for anything else. You don’t want to fall into any other scam online, nor do you want to not pay your bills. Start your work today and see how much debt you can kill off.
